WOW: These DANCE CRUISES just keep getting better and better!! This year we had 135 people, including big groups from Arizona & New York, as well as Illinois. People attended from Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Massachusetts, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, North & South Carolina, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Quebec Canada (who could that be?), Texas, & Wisconsin; it was a truly incredible continent-wide experience! Everyone got along! Thank you so much for joining me; I am honored by your presence. Let’s do it again! Next year’s couples & line dance cruise will visit ALASKA; my daughter Katie and her partner Eli will be teaching couples’ lessons, and I’ll be covering the lines. Registration info can be found at www.dancewithjanet.com/
NEW: MEET & GREET OPEN HOUSE at my home (1764 Kresswood Dr. in West Chicago) is on Saturday, April 4th, from 2 – 6 pm! SIX Beginner classes are taught in the Dance With Janet community by Cathy, Cathie, Karen, & Julie; I realized I don’t know these dancers, and I’d like to! The perfect way to meet you is to invite you over for a party – so, would you come spend a few hours with me? All our dancers are invited, but brand new beginner dancers ESPECIALLY. I’d like to introduce our newer members to the folks who’ve been dancing with me for a long time. Feel free to bring a dish if you’d like…I’m not the best hostess in the world…
FINALIZED: VIRTUAL LINE DANCE CLASSES will now run regularly on Wednesday evenings, starting this week on March 11th. Courtney worked out all the kinks, and you’ll now have the opportunity to participate in a LIVE class from wherever you are, with the added benefit of receiving the recording, so you can watch it and practice your dances whenever it’s convenient. In each class, I’ll teach a new dance and review and dance other line dances we’ve been working on, for the regular price of $8/class (DWJ and credit cards are accepted). Visit http://www.
LAST CHANCE: The requests for line dance classes continue to come in, and I and my existing staff are maxed out. DWJ continues to expand; more teachers are needed. Would you like to become a DWJ INSTRUCTOR? A specific method of teaching is required. I will train you personally from 9 – 5 on March 21st & 22nd at my home (lunch is included). I’ll only be able to do this live training this one weekend this year. I’ll spend three months with you afterwards to “break you in” (we will CO-TEACH 6-12 classes to make sure you feel comfortable). If this resonates with you, please reserve your spot at http://www.dancewithjanet.
SCHEDULE: In addition to our regular Tuesday night dances, our UPCOMING WEEKEND DANCES for March are:
- Sunday 3/15 in the Zone, downstairs at Wheaton Park District (1777 Blanchard St.) from 2 – 5 pm (BRIDGE)
- Friday 3/20 at Geneva America Legion, (22 S. 2nd St.) from 7 – 10 pm (BRIDGE)
- Saturday 3/28 at Fermilab’s Kuhn Barn (enter from Batavia & Rt. 59) from 7 – 10 pm
That’s all folks; see you on the dance floor!
