Dancers are their own community, and a very special one of our own is suddenly hospitalized and in need of prayers and encouragement.  “Double Two” Rich (in the maroon, on the left, with Gary) is a Cadillac Ranch Icon.  He has helped many new dancers feel comfortable on the floor, and is one of the Ranch’s “front men” (like Bob & Raj) who show ladies new to couples dancing how to dance.  Rich’s specialty is the Double Two, hence the nickname, and he and his wife Marcia have been Ranch regulars since the Ranch opened.

Rich is in Central DuPage Hospital (25 N. Winfield Rd., Winfield IL) with cancer affecting his legs.  He’s not in good condition and this came on out of the blue.  If you have time to stop by and see him, have the staff search for his room by his full name, Allen Parrotte.  Please pray for him and Marcia, and do visit him if you can.  These are scary times for them.

In other, more positive dancing news, Jeff and I will be hosting the Rancheros dance tonight (523 Fairway Dr, Naperville, IL 60563) from 8 – 11 pm as well as theWarrenville Sunday Nite Country (3S240 Warren Ave., Warrenville, IL 60555) this Sunday from 5:30 – 9 pm.  I’ll also be at Cadillac Ranch tomorrow from 7 – 11 pm.  Come join the parties!!

See you on the dance floor.
