I’m so excited to report that the Cadillac Ranch Dance Team performed at the Carol Stream Coral Cove Water Park this pastMonday – and didn’t melt!  It was especially surprising that Peggy (garbed head to toe in a bright yellow starfish costume) was still standing after almost 2 hours of looking longingly at the pool – and not jumping in.  We at least danced in the water to cool off!  Special thanks go to her for working the crowd, and to Mike for taking pictures, Lenny for manning the video camera, Jeff for DJ’ing, and Laura & Michael for dancing with us during our open dance time, to get the patrons dancing.  I so appreciate everyone for taking time out of their busy lives to share the love of dance and encourage others to try it, and advertise for Cadillac Ranch!  Thank you so much!  Check out the Team’s page: dancewithjanet.com/cadillacdanceteam

Here they are:

If you can ever go to a festival during these summer months, grab some dancing friends and DANCE to the featured bands!  Dancing is for everyone, but you’d be surprised at how few people know it’s out there.  Some people from the Dance With Janet group are doing just that this Friday the 12th at the Wheaton Vintage Car Rides show from 6:30 – 9 pm.  Estelle will be teaching the crowd a few easy dances and leading the group in dancing to FABULOUS country music.  If you are free, please join them; you’re sure to know the songs & dances!

I’ll be back at Cadillac Ranch this Friday the 12th teaching Redneck Angel at 7:30 and Slick Willie at 8:30.  This Saturdaywe’ll be dancing in Warrenville IN THE BIG GYM (downstairs in the Rec Center, 3S260 Warren Ave.) from 6:45 – 10 pm.  Please note the change of location for this month only (the Saturday intermediate classes will meet at the Rec Center’s Multipurpose room this week and next, the 13th & 20th).  I’ll be teaching Uno Dos Tres at 7:30 & Slappin’ Leather at 8:30; if you’ve been watching these dances and would like to join the fun, come learn them!  They’re danced quite often, and at multiple country venues.

Enjoy performing what you’ve learned this summer, see you on the dance floor – or pool, as the case may be!
