Let’s do get this started, shall we?  After months of anticipation and preparation, TONIGHT we kick off the Midwest Country Dance Party!!  Open dancing (lines and a second floor in the same room for couples) runs from 7 pm – midnight with the king of DJ’s, DAVE THOMPSON!!!  He is SO ready for you!!  Not sure you’ll know what he will be playing?  Check out the Line Dance List HERE.

Tomorrow at 10 am, lessons begin.  The MCDP is about bringing in instructors from the U.S. Midwest to one place.  Not all Chicagoland dancers (line dancers especially) know we live in Dance Heaven, with all kinds of instructors teaching all kinds of dance.  The trouble is, although we have tons of studios, who knows if we’d like the instructors?  Let’s find out about some of them!  This weekend, for one low price of $135, you’ll be able to take up to 15 hours of lessons with SIX different instructors (and YES!  They’re available for private lessons!):

Day passes are also available for $80 if you can’t make the weekend.  Only want to dance in the evenings?  No problem; it’s only $25!  Just show up; we have plenty of room for you!  Make sure you catch the Saturday night instructors’ show from 8 – 8:30 pm – last year I heard many people say the price of the weekend was worth it just for that show!  If you enjoy Dancing With the Stars, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!  You won’t want to miss seeing these instructors DANCE!!

We’re importing an incredible dance floor, so your knees will be safe.  DANCE SHOES OF TENNESSEE will be in the Acorn 2 room, and they have a tremendous selection of dance shoes; bring your credit card!!  Dancing on event floors in suede-bottomed shoes is an experience every dancer should have.  You’ll feel like you’re dancing on air, and you’ll truly be singing OOH AAH all weekend long!!
