I am one of those who is mourning the loss of the Sunday Stampede at Cadillac Ranch.  I went there to dance on that day most weeks for more than a decade.  But I am fortunate enough to also work with the Warrenville Park District, who has offered to host Sunday Nite Country next SUNDAY MARCH 9th from 6 – 9 pm, which will follow the format of the Stampede.  Jeff will DJ, and you know he knows the playlist (no lessons, alternating couples and lines).  You asked that something be done…and we listened!  I'll grant you that WPD's gym doesn't have the ambiance of the Ranch, and it's 20 minutes south of the Ranch.  Unfortunately this won't be a perfect replacement…but I'm excited for the opportunity!  The dance will be held at the Warrenville Community Building Gym, 3S240 Warren Avenue, and the floor there is PERFECT.  $10 admission will provide all-you-can-eat pizza, salad, & dessert, and loads of dancing.

Dance With Your Kids (Family Days revisited – ALL AGES WELCOME) will precede Sunday Nite Country on SUNDAY MARCH 9th from 3 pm – 5:30 pm ($5/person admission).  We'll have a rocking kids' party with all easy dances, games, and lessons too!  Snacks will be provided and pop & water will be for sale at $1 each (we ask that you please don't bring beverages to both events; please support the Park District).

If it goes well we'll be happy to offer this again!

Also, just a reminder…I'll be out of town this weekend at the Ft. Wayne Dance For All in Ft. Wayne, IN.  The Cadillac Ranch Dance Team is performing there and I'm so excited!!  My daughter Katie will be teaching Friday's lessons for me at the Ranch (I Walk Alone, Got To Be Funky, & Easy Moves Like Jagger) and Saturday's lessons at Warrenville as well (You're So Lucky & I Want Crazy).  If you are looking for couples' dance instruction locally, Swing 'N' Country is hosting their annual Dance Camp (http://www.swingncountry.net/DCC/default.html) in Elmhurst this weekend, and I highly recommend it!  If you can't attend classes and need dance shoes, this is the place to go.  There are gobs of shoes from which to choose and you're sure to find one that fits you.  Although you must pay to attend the convention, no admission fee is charged to shop for shoes.

I'll see you back on the dance floor on Monday.  Have a FANTASTIC weekend – dance it away!!!!!!!!!
